Alright, this thread isn't for the BEST or GREATEST, but more for your personal favorite in the world of music.

Mine would have to be Leslie West of Mountain because

1) He plays guitar and get me actually into the instrument.

2) He is my favorite singer, because he voice is so unique.

3) He is the only musician that had a group named after his size.

4) Mountain is all I have ever known

Jim Morrison

- Best lyricist of all time.

- (sorta) modern day crooner. Followed in the footsteps of Sinatra etc. He has one of the greatest voices in rock.

- One of the best songwriters - I seriously love every song The Doors ever put out. No joke.

- He was the one person that i felt really got me into music. I was a casual musician/music listener until i got into The Doors, then i needed more.

Bruce Dickinson is the absolute best metal vocalist of all time. Sorry Dio, i love you man, but i think Dickinson has an edge over you.

In addition my favorite lyricist ever is probably Joey Ramone. I'm just a really big Ramones fan in general though.

I really hope this is sarcasm and not being an asshole really. I never said that lyrcism meant being deep. I mean they have deeper songs but I like the style of his writing.
