PostSubject: My iPod   Sat Apr 18, 2009 3:10 am

Today I went to my dad and asked him if I could get a new iPod and explained to him that my current one was pretty much fucked (1-2 hour battery life, lines through screen, going to kick the bucket soon). I'm going to get a 6th Generation 120gb Black iPod Classic (and kill me if I'm not getting a Classic). He commented that maybe he could use mine on his walks so I said it was a good idea and soon after stuck my iPod into my computer to start OPERATION CLEAN UP. Well just then my iPod died (the clicks of death). R.I.P. Keegan's iPod, 04/17/09.

I typed up a huge list of almost every artist (I skipped over a few things like a couple rap bands that sneaked on etc.). This is mainly for record keeping purposes...so any time in the future if I want to look something up or rediscover a band I can look at what I had (the files no longer exist). Several of these just had a song or two under the artist but most had about 10-20 songs. In total I had around 2700 songs or something like that.

A lot of really crappy bands...some decent bands...and a handful of good bands. For my new iPod I'm going to keep it really clean and more organized. Anyways here is the list (I don't expect anyone to really read this)...

I considered getting a Zune, and it was a really close call, and that's why I just chose to get the iPod. Mainly it was the fact that I was already adept at using iTunes that persuaded me to not take the risk. As many things as there are to hate about Apple and their annoying marketing techniques that **** you over...they did push a piece of technology forward that has become really useful. Still I hope Microsoft surpasses them and does a better job because Apple seems too focused on flashiness and marketing than on a reliable and quality mp3 player.

Ipod's are decent
But I swear that they are designed to die after a little over the year's warranty

Thats a pretty good band list. Yeah I'm a loyal Sansa fan myself. Not an Ipod fan Zune is pretty cool as well.

Wow mine lasted for about 2.5 years through extremely heavy usage (needed a battery charge like every 1-2 days). I hope this one is just as durable. I just opened my new 120gb 6th gen. black classic. Getting iTunes 8 right now.

All right! It's set up, I got the manual sync activated before iTunes got the chance to royally **** things up, and my first three albums are now on my iPod. I'm listening to it right now and it sounds really good.

Zune is FANTASTIC!!! I got a Zune 30, and it worked perfectly until my friend dropped it on a concrete floor and smashed the screen up. The screen is a lot bigger than all of the i pod screens, and in my opinion the interface is better too. You can actually customize it so that's good. Ipods are pretty good, but i definitely prefer anything that is microsoft lol
