Sabaton

Very good Swedish Power Metal group. I think they're pretty obscure, but I think they have a fantastic sound. I think they do a good job of getting people into power metal, because their vocalist has a very rough, dirty sound. I also love how they pay homage to earlier, influential metal bands in the songs "Metal Machine" and "Metal Crue", and how they have tons of songs that have lyrics based off of famous, historical wars. I would definitely recommend these guys, especially to those who don't care for power metal that much.

Metal Machine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8hJddMR8ZU

Metal Crue - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7UZ5RrV_Tw

Purple Heart - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqTatSvkYzA

Ghost Division - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NydGSPgUcO8

Kamelot

Just a good 'ole Power Metal band from somewhere in Europe. Sounds fantastic in my opinion, kinda like a cross between Sonata Arctica and..... erm..... nevermind. They sound kinda like Sonata Arctica.... they have that symphonic feel to them though. Very good music though, but I think this is definitely for the Power Metal fan. Check them out!

Rule the World - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAc717_WSFI

Ghost Opera - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-TUufvK0gU

Anthem - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW6i1XLtQ10

Mourning Star - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfU-SIdqCrU

Enjoy!!

Dude, hopefully you can start to like power metal. You just have to go into it with a different mindset. I learned about accepting other forms of metal when I realized that it's all interlocked. ****ing Dave Mustaine is a trash guitar player, and he toured with Bring Me the Horizon. Then you have all these massive music festivals where you have Nightwish playing next to ****ing HammerFall, who is playing next to Slayer. That's the reason I'm getting into death metal more. I don't think I'm ready for Black Metal, but at some point I'm going to give it another try.
