PostSubject: Weekly Writing   Tue May 05, 2009 11:40 pm

Do you guys want me to do a weekly update on my story? Length will be varying, as I need to do school things and other stuff of the ilk. It all depends, I guess. I would prefer to also have information on how you would suggest I put it together. Should it be separated, or in one thread. This is in random discussions because I would prefer to have more opinions on it and felt that this is best posted elsewhere then on Creative Endeavors.

Or would you prefer I did something else entirely? Or nothing at all.

Should I continue writing the same story though? Or should I save that one for another time. Heck, I might end up writing half a book here if I do that. I will warn you, the first part will mostly be character set up because it follows his life almost exclusively. And IT will be less action packed then the rest of the story. By far.

I am currently addicted to your story EP, even though it is very short so far. I would love you to continue with that story. And yes, if you make it separate threads, it will be better noticed than if you posted in the same thread. But yeah, like a weekly update, we have quite a few of those for things, that would work nicely. Also, this might be a good idea to do in random discussions, it definitely gets more traffic.

If you do not do a weekly update, I will assume you are a communist

Please do
I love it

The Story In Random Discussions is what you mean, right? I guess I'll try. . .
An audience will force my bum to actually work on it in a meaningful way. Maybe you'll get lucky. His first few years will fly by. I would like suggestions on how long I should make his childhood. It will be useful in setting up how certain characters feel about things. And give me a nice way to develop the setting. . . but beyond that. How much is correct?

I don't want to influence your story
I hate it when people try to change my ****
I love when people find gaps of logic and grammar
BUt I hate when people lead me
I don't want to do that to ya

Sorry, I just question some things. . .
It also helps me think up what I should do.
I think I just thought of a decent median though, so yeah.
But, you are free to contribute names to the pool, for if anyone wants a named character somewhere in the story, those are pretty mutable.
The main character still does not have a solid name at the moment, for I'm settling on Letum. It's an old name of mine. . . so I wonder if I should even use that.
Maybe I'll use a name that I made up though, that I use as my Gamer Tag, Tamult.
Thoughts on that will help me immensely.

I request Amadeus and Dweezil.

And make the childhood as long as you need to make it epic. If the person is going to be an epic king and child prodigy, make sure you cover all of the important things that makes it seems like he/she lived the childhood of ten people.

King, sort of, Child Prodigy. . . maybe not so much. He gets to much abuse for that to work out. . . more on that later though. Dweezil maybe hard to fit in. Amadeus is accepted. By the way, most of the humans have english esque names. Elves have names that deal with plants and such. Atleast it is what they use in the basic tongue. . . aka english.

Maybe Dweezil could be the annoying court jester?

That's just such a funny name.

Accepted then. And no frigging Robin Hobb Strange court jester that has Romantic feeling for the hero who everyone thinks is male and is, in actuallity, female. Pisses me off. Can't read half her writings.

Amadeus is now the general of the Southern Border.

Good think I have a vendetta against reading, because I have no idea what you are talking about, and I'm sure I would be angry if I did. I make up by reading the select good books out there and by writing my own mediocre stories.

Robin Hobbs is good. . . when she isn't annoying me. Sometimes she just gets to radical for her own good. Which is about half the time. Her only decent series is the Royal Assassin series.

Hmm. . . I also have names for gods comming up. So far the god of Harvest is known as Havarath. I appreciate the person who came up with that. . . I was too tired to make a decent god's name.

Lol what was that kickass viking/norse book series you had? That looked pretty damn sweet. Like something I would actually read for more than 5 minutes

Which one are you talking about? I don't think I own any viking series. . .

I own the Wheel of Time. And the song of fire and ice series. . . but you'll need to describe it more.

Not sure. Saw it at your house, it looked Norse-esque. It hink it was in your floor, near your television. I don't know much more, but the cover art looked interesting

I think you were looking at the library book I had. . .

That is the Codex Alera, and that is fantasy Roman-esque. That is a good series to be sure though. Jim Butcher is a great author.

But yeah, you read a lot of stuff that looks interesting to me, but they would be far more interesting in non-book form

I still give a solid recomendation for that series.
By the way. . .

The Sanguine Kingdom. Sanguine is latin for By Blood or Blood, and is the last name of the Ruling line. Yes, the pun is there for historical purposes. The Sanguine Kingdom was forged by blood and war. Letum means Death, Ruination, and Annihalition in latin.

So should I use Tamult, or Letum as the main characters name?

And I actually knew what Sanguine meant! Thank you, Oblivion! Man, that game even teaches me stuff! How cool is that?

Update Warning. Later Tommorrow Night an update should be made about the story. Final question, where should it go? I will also include the first part of the story as well, mostly in case I change location of said thread. Links to previous parts shall be included after the next time.
