Whether you like them or not, I held off on posting this. I personally like Nirvana somewhat.
This is their other stuff besides just "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

I like Nirvana. Pretty good music and crazy lyrics lol.

Kurt said: Why in the hell do journalists insist on coming up with a second-rate Freudian evaluation of my lyrics, when 90 percent of the time they've transcribed them incorrectly?

They focused more on the music/melody than anything else, but I like the crazy lyrics too lol.

Aneurysm is my favorite song for them, next to territorial pissings.

I like a lot of their songs because they're fun to listen/sing/dance to etc. Also anyone who's articulate gets +rep as far as I'm concerned. I hate thinking "Gee I really like this band." and then seeing an interview with them and they are total morons. It embarasses me lol.

I love them mainly because it describes me in alot of ways.
And it shows that the 90's could be badass

Of the grunge bands, Nirvana where the most boring, at least that's my two cents. Mudhoney and Pearl Jam where the bands I listened to: I actually recently purchased the Legacy edition of Ten. Eddie Vedder's lyrics are more cunning and snide, will still being articulate, and man his voice...

... he also has the bonus of not being a cowardly worm who leaves a daughter behind.

You disappoint me Doc , Pearl Jam is a waste. Mudhoney is good though. Eddie Vedder totally jumped on the wagon when the Grunge movement hit. He was playing in a shitty hardcore band at the time.

Anyway, the best "mainstream" grunge band is by far Alice In Chains, with Soundgarden in a close second.

Meh, the reason I like Pearl Jam is they're more traditional rock than anything else, especially on Ten. I do like Soundgarden, and I like everything about AiC except the vocals: they always grated with me.

I really hate Pearl Jam puts me to ****ing sleep, don't like Alice in Chains either. I like about 1/2 of Nirvana's stuff. I like Mudhoney a bit though. Just not a big grunge fan I suppose.
