Yes you're right, but not a good comparison.

Jews can be either people who follow Judaism or an ethnic group of people.

So your like agnostic with a sub category of Judaism
I am starting to feel like a agnostic christian. But I am trying to get rid of the agnostic thoughts

not really, my brother is the only church going member of the family
i outright deny the existence of a higher power. thus making me atheist.

agnostics realize that there is a higher power, but they dont believe in any one articular religion.

Yeah, what I meant was that I am kinda feeling that way and if I had to fall back on something I'd pick Christianity, but I am staying away from that stage

Agnosticism is a flexible position that basically holds that it cannot be known whether God exists or does not exist and therefore doesn't claim to be belief or a denial of Its existence. It should be noted that many atheists fit under the definition of agnostics so there is a bit a semantics to the whole thing.

To believe in a higher power but not a particular religion would probably be most similar to deism. Deism could be basically described as belief in God without religion. Of course there is no doctrine or anything of that sort so there is quite a bit of flexibility as to what kind of God you think there is, assuming you have thoughts on such.

Sighs...the power of one typo and/or misspelling to completely change the topic of a thread.
