From Ignorance to Understanding- Plato's allegory of the cave
1. The prisoner who has lived in a cave all his life is turned around and sees shadows. He has a vague awareness that something is there. (We are born)
2. Reflections in water. He is being dragged out of the cave. He starts seeing more detail, but the details are distorted and not lasting. ( We begin to have a sense of the world around us)
3. Then he sees the objects that were in the reflection themselves. ( We understand the roles and functions of society)
4. Light of the moon and stars. (This is similar to how we are raised, this is pretty much the learning stage such as if we had gone to school at this point.)
5. Sun itself. ( We are completely aware of our surroundings)
