Metal Heart- Dimmu Borgir
This is such a badass cover. f***. The vocals are mean sounding but not head ache giving. The guitars are something else. The chorous is a full blown epic. The solo is pretty much Beethoven's Feur Elise in a metal version. My god this is the best thing ever

Yeah I listened to it a lot in middle school. I like the "Burn in Hell" cover more but that's just me.

I remember I listened to Dimmu Borgir's cover of "Burn in Hell" with a random classmate on the last day of school in the 7th grade. I don't know what kind of music he listened to or if he even listened to music but he digged it. It was awesome.

Something about taking a classic and sounding mean is so damn addictive

Homies, are dimmu pretty much melo metal? If so what album would you recommend

Yes I love the cover, and I love re done metal covers, but they are never as good as the original. WITH THE EXCEPTION of Sonata Arctica's cover of "Die With Your Boots On". I don't know what it is about it but I like it more than the original

Really? I didn't like that cover

The metal covers of songs usually sound like jokes, but I still love them

Like Northers version of the Final Countdown ahaha
Or
Metallica's cover of turn the page

Norther....? You have earned yourself + rep my friend. Garage Inc. is filled with amazing covers. I love their cover of "tuesday's gone" and of course "Whiskey in A Jar"

The album "Enthroned Darkness Triumphant" is their third full-release and basically when they changed their style from a more folk / atmospheric Dimmu Borgir to a more Gothic / Symphonic Dimmu Borgir and started to become main stream. Older Dimmu Borgir is really a whole different band compared to most of the stuff they've done. "Enthroned Darkness Triumphant" is my personal favorite by them, not counting their older stuff (as I haven't really heard it much anyways). The reason for that is mainly because it has the songs "Mourning Palace," "Spellbound by the Devil," and "In Death's Embrace" on it.

Screw it I'm downloading it all
Did they pull of an In Flames change?
Because there new cd is totally lame.
Come Clarity is decent

Whatever I'll listen to it all. I like the blending of genres and these guys seem to have it down.
Kalmah and In Flames blend genres so well

Well yeah but maybe not as drastic. Their new album lacks soul a bit but still has some good parts here and there so you know...just see what you think.
