Recently watched a action/scifi anime series called Darker Than Black pretty damn good. May hit the sequel soon.

Watched National Treasure only because of the Cracked article on Nicolas Cage. Seriously, that article is 100% accurate because Nic Cage is sooooo bad and predictale. When they got out the flashlights I yelled out loud"Oh fuck the flashlights! Shit's gonna go down!" Plus my brother walked in and asked what movie I was watching and before I could answer Nic Cage says "Damn it we got to find that treasure!" So yeah my brother knew what movie it was after that.

I was so ready to hate this, but damn it, it was actually a decent film. The film is gorgeous to look at in 3D (I still felt a little geeky wearing the glasses though), but Cameron has done a decent job of not letting the effects overpower everything like Revenge of the Fallen: the cinematography is excellent, the acting isn't as flat as I was dreading (though you'd never call this a character movie). Most of all though, it gets a nice balance between action, story and making a point, albeit in a blunt, unsubtle way.

7.5 out of 10. Go see it, it will probably be the best mainstream action film around until Robin Hood comes out.

BTW is Robin Hood is half as good as Gladiator then it will be awesome. I'm anxious they'll fuck it up, but if they do it right, that could be an epic film.

Same actor, same director, same filming location: The interview I read in Empire had Crowe and Scott saying they wanted to use Gladiator as an influence: it isn't plagiarism when you copy yourself, and they thought if the formula works, why break it.

Should be brilliance.

Going to see it with some friends on Wednesday. I've heard it's a really good film so I'm looking forward to it.

I liked death proof better.
Planet Terror, I dunno. It seemed like it had zero effort and was just trying to make the same movie I've seen 100 times with fucked up additions

My mom came a couple days ago and we watched 2 movies.

Hangover
Was pretty funny and what not. I have a hard time grading comedy movies because it's pretty much all funny to me. Still there needs to be a dark comedy movie because that would knock me out of my chair and make me feel guilty all night.

The Hitchhiker or w/e
Utterly pointless suspense/horror movie. If you ever get into a situation where you have to watch it just try to make as many ridiculous jokes about the characters and plot etc. as possible because that's the only way it'll end up being fun to watch.

Saw Avatar yesterday and I was really impressed. I thought it was fantastic. It was amazing in 3D, the CGI was probably the best I've ever seen in any film and the plot was very well-done.

I.Hate.My.Friends.

I wanted to go watch Avatar but they wanted to see Inglorious Basterds. I swear it's a rip-off having to pay 10 euros for a movie which I'm cover my eyes to, I mean it was just brutal No I'm traumatized because of the scalp shaving and the shooting scenes. But also it was pretty good I mean I liked the plot and I mean Hugo Stiglitz was just awesome. So if your a total guy and can stand brutal shooting scenes... watch it

Feature an actual british actor portraying the famous fictional british detective for starters... awful, cheesy accents are awful and cheesy.

While I agree on that overall I thought it was pretty damn fantastic and he did a great job minus the accent thing.
