PostSubject: Top Ten Favorite Games   Fri Jul 10, 2009 9:32 pm

This is a very hard decision to make, but here it goes

1.) The Elder Scrolls (Morrowind/Oblivion)

This is too hard of a decision to make, but it is an Elder Scrolls Game. There are things about Morrowind that I like better, and there are things I like better about Oblivion. I'm currently downloading the first two games, Arena and Daggerfall for the PC. I've never played them before.

2.) Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

This is probably the best turn based RPG ever. It was for the Super Nintendo, and it used this like chip that made it 64 bits. So, it pretty much looked like a Nintendo 64 game. It was made by Nintendo and Square Enix (Final Fantasy), so you know it's good. I just loved the story, and it was overall just super fun. I played this game again a few months ago.

3.) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

A very fun mix of turn based strategy RPGs and open world, non-linear. The dialogue system was probably my favorite thing about this game. I loved using the force to persuade beggars to give me all of their money, or to convince people to do something maniacal. The skill system was fun, nothing better than a little force lighting. And besides that, it's star wars.

4.) Grand Theft Auto IV

I've been a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series since the first, but this newest entry is amazing and by far the best. The combat system is gears of war esque, andthe realistic physics are so much fun. On top of that, the story is close to being the best. Vice City's story wins by a little bit, but this story is amazing. Much better than San Andreas.

5.) Fallout 3

This game is fantastic. I love the intense gore and the combat system. The dialogue system is very reminiscent of KOTOR, where you actually say sentences rather than asking about things with one word. The only thing bad about this game is that it makes me want to play Oblivion every time I play it. Other than that, this game is amazing.

6.) Mass Effect

This game has an excellent combat system, one of the most amazing stories of any game, and has an awesome skill system. The dialogue is also fantastic. But, this game still isn't better than KOTOR in my opinion. There are just certain things that Mass Effect is missing, such as the outrageous dialogue choices that KOTOR had. It's still an incredible game though.

7.) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Stealth based action and an awesome Jungle enviroment. I loved the survival aspects to this game, like hunting animals and eating them. The bosses are also some of the most memorable, such as The End, an 95 year old sniper who hunts you down. This game series has always been one of my favorites, and this game is probably my favorite out of them all. I have not played the newest one yet though.

8.) The Sims 2

One of the most fun PC games out there. I originally got the watered down Xbox version, which was fun, but the PC version is still better. It's basically the same game, but the PC version has all the expansions and all of the original content. I love this series because you can be any kind of person you want. It's also tons of fun to make houses and stuff.

9.) Tales of Symphonia

This is a spectacular Japanese RPG that really got me addicted. It's sorta like Eternal Sonata, but a little better I think. I actually don't know how much better it is, but I know I played this like 3 times through. It has a fantastic combat system that never gets boring.

10.) Dead Rising

This game almost didn't make the cut, but it is a fantastic game. I mean, you're in what's basically a giant arena full of makeshift weapons and tons of zombies. The game got frustrating but looking back on it it was an amazing experience.

Ocarina of Time was fantastic. That's probably my second favorite Zelda game. I liked Wind Waker actually, and I've noticed a lot of people hate it.

Guitar Hero 2 was good, but I got super frustrated with the crappy covers, like their fowl butchery of Hanger 18. Decent setlist though, even if most of the songs I liked were bad covers.

I originally got GH2 for the Playstation 2. One night I had a friend over and the dumbass took GH2 out of the console and set it on top. Then later, the console gets knocked off my entertainment center and gouges a huge piece out of the disc.

I was playing on medium then. But later I got Guitar Hero 80's for the playstation 2 because I still had the controller, and that's when I started playing on expert.

Guitar Hero is fun, but I don't understand why they feel the need to make 20 each month. I can't afford that and I'm not giving up that kind of money. I wish they would make a guitar hero Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden's pretty mainstream now so it wouldn't bother me. What bothers me is that they are putting Children of Bodom in GH5
