Hexic is a fun little puzzle game that comes free on the Xbox 360, as well as the Zune mp3 players. It's actually quite addicting, even though it is very simple.

The game starts you out with a board of multi colored hexagonal shapes, and the player's objective is to match 3 pieces of the same color together. You do this by rotating groups of 3.

The game features 3 different modes, Marathon Mode, Timed Mode, and Survival Mode. In Marathon Mode, the player plays as long as he can before a bomb explodes. A bomb is a special piece which counts down every time the player makes a move. The player must use the bomb in a group before the timer runs out, or the game is over.

Timed Mode is pretty much how it sounds. The timer counts down as the player makes moves, but every time the player makes a move, a few seconds are added to the clock. So this game mode focuses on speed.

In survival mode, the player makes the matches as usual, but when they disappear new pieces don't drop down to replace them. When there are no more matches that can be made, the pieces that remain are locked in and cannot be moved in the next round. This forces the player to try get rid of all the pieces, so it requires a lot of thought.

This game is very addicting. I play on Xbox Live occasionally, because I like to compare my scores with my friends who also play the game. But, the majority of the time I'm playing it on my Zune since I can play it wherever. The soundtrack plays a lot of quiet, techno songs that are actually quite relaxing. I would definitely recommend this game to any fan of the puzzle genre.

I played it for 15 minutes before deleting it
When it comes to games that require thinking- I want monsters to be involved
I completely acknowledge that this is a solid game and I am a tool

disc errors don't, but then your console just freezes when it decides it doesn't want to work lol
