This is for all my fellow musicians, I wanna know who inspires you to keep with it, to push your boundaries, to push music boundaries, and to try and rise to the distinction of a God.

A few of mine are:
Jerry Cantrell
Toni Iommi
Layne Staley
Markus Tiovonen

As a bass player myself, I'd have to say Geezer Butler or Geddy Lee.

sh!t dude, that would be a HUGE list

Here is my condensed version

Jim Morrison first and foremost is my idol and hero. The music he, and The Doors made, was true music. Music that made you think, that made you question. made you wonder. Also the soul he put into the music. I feel that's one of the things that's missing in a lot of different kinds of music now, and that is something that the music The Doors made always had. Not only in the lyrics, but in the music itself. It was emotion. Pure, unbounded, emotion

Steve Vai is probably the one who inspires me most on the guitar. I'm in love with virtuosos, and he is the cream of the crop. Music is something that he expands and makes his own. He's always trying to expand his boundaries, and the boundaries of music in general. That's what I want to do. I want to learn what people have done, then I want to build on that, so that others can build on my music, and so on.

Of course there are many others that influence me, but these two are probably the biggest ones. Bob Dylan, Tuomas Holopainen, Petri Lindroos, Brad Delp, Dave Mustaine, Jeff Lynne, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty are all massive influences, in many different ways. From sheer guitar playing, to theoretical skills, and to soul, all of these artists add to the soul that governs what I do.

Of course I'm not very good, but it's true artists like these that make me want to become the best musician I can be

Byd, this is how it starts, you know. One day it's "I like Blink 182", the next it's "I think I like men".

It's in musical terms

It's not that you worship them or sacrifice baby lambs in their name, but that you appreciate their innovations and it helped to build what you do, musically.

Or, if you're not a musician, people who you appreciate most
