System of a down and Kalmah are the only ones whose new material keep getting better imo

Well, each subsequent Death album pushed forward and eclipsed the previous one...

Nevermore has only gotten better as they've gone on too.

I like early Death a bit more than newer Death, but they are both exceptional.

Never gotten into Nevermore. Maybe it's the vocals? I dunno...

Burzum also improved from album-to-album, until he went to jail. I'm excited about the new one.

They got worse and worse IMO. The debut is actually pretty good.

Slough Feg... their latest album is a masterpiece. Unlike Hammers of Misfortune, for while all their albums are good, they've dropped in quality as they've gone on.

Shining, excluding VI. And I liked III more than IV but still.

I actually like Kalmah's first two full-lengths the most. I think Kalmah is pretty consistently good overall though.

I agree with Mayhem. Ordo Ad Chao is lightyears ahead of Deathcrush.

I disagree, From Afar is their best album. Not that I really like it, but I can't even listen to their other stuff.

I love all of their material with a passion, but From Afar is just... wow.

I like Petri better in Ensiferum and Jari better in Wintersun

Nothing is going to top the first album, or Victory Songs

It has been in the making for far too long, but it's supposed to come out soon, and I'm drooling in anticipation.

I've already predicted it will fail. I love the first one, but with all the hype and time (get it!) Jari's had to work on the new album, it cannot hope to live up to expectations.

If it's anywhere near the caliber of the first album, it will be epic. Here's hoping he doesn't try too much though, because then failure will be pretty easy

Wintersun never fail to bore me to tears. The production is crap, anyways.

Also considering their last two albums were sub par, Nile's latest shows great improvement:

The verse riff is so sexy, with that laid back beat to the drums: very catchy.

Also the title track is monumental:

Personally I love Annihilation of the Wicked, and this new one is about equal to it.
