---
Abyssmal Sorrow - Lament (2008)
1. "Bound In Lifeless Affliction" - 9:14
2. "Requiem For The Dying Moon" - 10:47
3. "Cavernous Sorrow And Worthlessness" - 5:55
4. "Echoes Through The Fields Of Death" - 9:23
5. "Austere Lament Part One" - 6:53
6. "Austere Lament Part Two" - 12:21
---
This is slow depressive black metal / funeral doom. The music will remind you of the name of the band which, for the
record, was not spelled wrong on accident. The music is slow and mournful and goes between depressive funeral doom riffs
to acoustic depressive black metal riffs. The vocals growl and crackle depressively, giving the impression that the singer is
"giving up" similar to Sterbend, only growls not screams. Track 3 is the most memorable song on the album and track 5
has no vocals but a monologue with a man asking to be killed. I really like this album because it's so simple and effective it
just really sticks and does what it intends to do, nothing less nothing more.

Yeah I'm going to start doing little short reviews of things that I don't think many people have heard. I have the next one in mind right now but I'm heading up to a friend's place so I might do it later tonight or tomorrow.

Yesterday I spent like 3 hours at that one metal guy's dorm and his metal library was awesome I learned about some really cool new stuff. Learned about some really evil shit too it was great.

Well...I'm off. Back later maybe tomorrow (damn math test in the morning).

Same here. I feel like it actually adds something to the music world. My metal-archives rating for it would be 100% easily, and my personal rating would have to be somewhere in the 90s.

Yeah it's definitely fantastic. I need to put it on my external harddrive so I can listen to it on last.fm
