Even if you don't get anything out of his music, Marley's message is undying.

I thought it was all about smoking pot.

Still, love to see you listen to the old blues artists

Bob Marley believed that though music and love, mankind could end all the hatred in the world, end war, end hunger, and make it a better place. He got shot a day before he was playing a show, and he went out and played anyway. They asked him afterward why he played the show, instead of staying in the hospital, and he responded: "The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, how can I?."

There's a lot to admire there.

I think art and music in particular should have a message behind it. I've always idolized musicians like John Lennon, Marley, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and a few punk musicians for that. There's a big difference between making good music, and making a music that touches people.
