Hello I am a novice at guitar who always plays in EADGBE
What different tunes are easy to learn in a different set of tuning?
ANd how was the transition for you?

Down 1 step and down 2 step are what I also use along with standard. They're just the same as standard, except lower so it's nothing different. I also, however, use Open C occasionally and that one can be tricky at times since I still haven't gotten the hang of it yet. It's fun to screw around with though.

Oh and drop tuning is for falses.

Edit: Jeez, so many typos

B# = B F# D# D# F# B#
d = D-G-B-E-A-D
c# = C#-F#- B#-E#-G#-C#

Technically, there's no such thing as B# since that's just C

I use half step quite a bit (Playing Metallica for example) and I do drop to C and others playing Nile and so on. The only tuning I don't really use is drop D, because it makes me feel cheap: like I'm gonna play some Linkin Park or something.

Hahahahaha okay, pretty sure you can play the exact same things except for the lows. Excuse me for prefering standard

Well, basically anything played in standard is the same as any of the other stand tunings, just in a different key. It's when you change up your tuning with weird stuff like the open tunings is when you start to f*** up.

Its not that you can't, but why play something differently from how it was recorded? That's just weird.

I don't know, I hate retuning my guitar when I want to play something else. There are so many tunings out there it's really annoying to retune every time
