Which are you more into? For the sake of discussion, I'm not going to limit it to one medium. Include movies, art, literature or anything else with a sci-fi/fantasy theme.

I've always been more of a Sci-Fi geek, I do like fantasy, just to a lesser extent.

Favorites: Warhammer 40k, Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell (ya, ok I really like Cyberpunk...), Matrix, H.G Wells, etc.

I am more of a fan of the classical adventure fight between good and evil with swords lol. I do like some scifi though, I am not all just fantasy.

In terms of literature, fantasy. New weird, steam punk... anything that isn't Tolkien worship, I enjoy. Big fan of Steph Swainston, Jeff VanderMeer, China Mieville etc. I do like some of the high fantasy authors, but the more gritty ones, such as Steven Erikson and George R. R. Martin.

It should be noted that Tolkien is rubbish: he is most certainly not the be all and end all of fantasy fiction. Peake was the superior author of the period. Fantasy fiction isn't all elves and orks.

Film wise, well fantasy movies just can't compete with classics like Aliens and The Matrix.

Wow that's a tough one, I think I'm gonna go with Scifi.

Has anyone ever read Tarzan? Just amazing.

Sci-fi by far. Fantasy is good, but Sci-Fi is just a lot more fun.

I'm going to have to choose fantasy. There is good sci-fi but too many seem to just shit all over science instead of exploiting its power and potential. And then metal has made me like fantasy more because of bands like Bal-Sagoth etc. etc.
