Byd, this is how it starts, you know. One day it's "I like Blink 182", the next it's "I think I like men".

Sounds cool man.

It's very low energy, and almost relaxing music. There won't be much in the way of mind blowing riffage

You should expand backwards into Folk. I loved when our musical tastes were similar

folk is seeing childhood memories and playulness (double date)
and im seeing hot and mysterious thought provoking metal (we are getting quite serious)

I listen to Folk alot as you well know, but it doesn't have the technicality that other genres have usually. When I want something more thought provoking prog/tech death are my go to genres.

yeah, thats what i was getting at

i just dont ever feel like im in a "pillaging" mood. thats why i dont care for folk anymore.
i love the beautiful music. music that tells a story. basically black metal with better to no vocals and better production value

My musical taste is all over the place. I am rarely in a genre mood, but rather a band mood. Even different bands of the same genre can have a different effect on me. But I find folk a good mixture of beauty and metal. The soft interludes and the heavy riffage just combine perfectly in my eyes, so I usually find myself listening to Folk. Plus, since it's a fusion genre, there is a lot of room for originality.
