PostSubject: So I applied to a music store today   Thu Jan 07, 2010 2:15 am

Unexpectedly the manager said "Alright get ready for a music and movie quiz!"
That instant I thought "fffffffff" as I do not keep up with the radio at all, which would be the majority

First question
Name the last 3 CD's you've bought
(hmm not so bad)
In Flames- Come Clarity
Children of bodom live
System of a down- hypnotize (This is incorrect but i couldn't remember that I had bought other stuff)

2nd question (Name 5 Canadian Artists- Don't Include Sum 41, Lady of Peace, or Tragically Hip)
I put
5. The Guess Who
4. Billy Talent
3. Three Days Grace
2. Shania Twain (lololol)
1. Celion Dion (Shut up I couldn't think of any)

3rd listed a bunch of bands and asked me to put a genre beside them. I only got
Rancid- Punk
Can't remember the rest

4th Listed songs, and I had to say what band it is
Live and let die- Guns N Roses
The Hardest button to button- The White Stripes
Wish you were here- Pink Fylod
Missed the rest

5th- List what you know about the following
Bob Dylan
-Folk legend with songs such as Frieght Train Blues and Times are changing that was featured on watchmen (good tidbit eh?)

Iggy Pop
-Sang single "little know it all" with sum 41. Iggy Pop and the stooges was featured on guitar hero 2 for "Search and destroy" that was covered

Two more bands are listed that I have never heard of such as John Coletrane or something

6. Name 2 bands from each genre

Folk
Johnny Cash
Bob Dylan

Jazz
John Lee Hooker
Stevie Ray Vaughn
I had no idea I'm sorry

World
Equilibrium
Burzum
Lmao I have no fucking clue what world is

Oldie
Elvis
Eric Clapton
What the fuck is oldie?

7. If you could have a band what would you name it and what genre would it be?
Guns of Babylon
Folk/progressive Metal

Now movie time, I butchered the entire front page. They were asking me what reviewer scored Lord of the rings

Name 3 movies from the following actors
It lists like 10 i've never heard of except one
Daniel Day Lewis
There will be blood
Gangs of New York
Nine

Name 3 movies from each director
There is a ton I miss again

Stanely Kubrick
The Shining

Woodly Allen

Hitchcock

NO IDEA!

Where did these quotes come from?
"Something about lazers"
No clue

"I'm looking at you kid"
No idea

"Its time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outta gum"
Duke Nukem?

Name a movie that won best picture recently
There will be blood?

What is the top grossing movie of all time?
Lord of the rings?

Name two movies from the following time periods
1950-59
Psycho
Citizen Kane?

1970-79
The Warriors
Airplane

1990-99
Fight Club
The Matrix

Name all the ghost busters
Bill Murray

Well I tried, I put in a valiant effort. I hope I get the job, although I doubt it, there were many others taking the quiz too lol

That's stupid. When I applied to Guitar Center they asked me stuff that wasn't really far fetched (Got must stuff right except stupid shit on DJ equipement and stuff like that) Would have been hired too if I had some work experience.

World is generally anything not from your country lol. Really random shit is called world. Often like maybe a countries folk music.

John Coltrane is a famous jazz musician.

And none of the bands you listed were jazz lol.
