So I was thinking, every 2 weeks or week or so we can do the music of a decade you enjoyed, let's just start with the 60's.
Also, I am gonna post a album or 2 or 3 for you to listen to if you want. I cannot do the 80's, so if there are any volunteers, just say lol.

Iron Butterfly- In a Gadda da Vida
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJqhScdbo8I

Edwin Starr- War
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01-2pNCZiNk
(for some reason this reminds me of some soilders riding in a chopper over 'nam lol)

Mountain- Southbound Train
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm11kFRz388

Mountain- Mississippi Queen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFhM1XZsh6o

Canned Heat- Going Up The Country
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hf0Dm-OaTNk

Bobby Fuller- I Fought The Law
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPXnoLAEUSQ

.
Bonus points if you don't need to mention the super bands

Janis Joplin tried to be black and it didn't work. She was a pretty good singer, but pathetic in real life.

Her voice is fucking insanely good, I rather enjoy it. But I don't know enough about her personal life to make a judgement. Her music is good regardless though *shrugs*
