Agalloch - The Mantle

One of my favorite albums of all time. If anything this is probably the album you guys have already heard but whatever. It's a good mix of neo-folk and doom metal with some black metal influences here and there. Honestly I'd post their entire discography for my music week but I want some diversity.

http://www.mediafire.com/?3tz2t2mwkml

Melancolia - The Dark Reflection of Your Soul

Holy shit. That's the best way to describe this album. I've never really been too into symphonic black metal but this album is amazing. What makes this album different is the really technical drumming patterns, intense fills, and atypical riffing style. One man band too and the dude took 7 years to write the damn thing. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Disillusion - Back to Times of Splendor

Well since you guys love melodeath so much I figured that I'd share this gem with you guys. Really proggy melodeath without losing its catchyness.

http://www.mediafire.com/?mhhjmnzm1mi

Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris

Melodic brutal death metal? Is that even possible? Yes it is, and it's damn good. Middle-eastern melodies plus brutal riffs makes this a must listen.

The Chasm - Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph

Manditory osdm album. You guys saw it coming but whatever. Really gloomy and evil stuff with some slight doom metal influence.

http://www.mediafire.com/?ivyzinvmftw

Yeah I know 5 albums is a lot but I really do wish you guys listen to all of them. Expect more osdm next time around!

Yea... Downloading.

That Disillusion album was under the "consideration" list for my music week. From the two songs I heard I was bored by the death metal parts. It was really good though.

I'll check out the first three, and the last two go to the Youtube bin. The Chasm didn't catch my attention honestly, but it might not have been a fair listen.

Lykathea Aflame: wasnt very melodic. had a hard time getting over the vocals. brutal vocals are almost an immediate turn off for me 5/10

The Chasm: Interesting. im listening right now. Get feelings of old Death songs, but revamped. when the guorniitars are good, they are amazing. when they are ok, they are kinda boring. get a very old world metal sound from them....not that clean 2009 sound...more of a 1990's sound. idk when it was released. 6.8/10

ill keep at it. so far i deleted lykathea....but ill keep the chasm.

The Chasm: I heard it with you and it sounded pretty cool but I didn't get into it that much. It had a good atmosphere to it and it was definitely better than I had remembered. I originally thought it was more melodic and didn't really care for it that much.

Disillusion: The first song is pretty cool, and the song after "Back To Days of Splendor" is pretty good. However "Back to Days of Splendor" is the only thing I really like on the album. That song seriously makes me cry.

Melancolia: To come.

Agalloch: Possibly to come. I remember hearing it a ways back and it was okay but towards the end it got really good.

Very good album. Maybe partially good for background music. Not all of it was amazing but none of it was bad, and some of it was amazing. I'll probably be listening to it more in the future. Thanks Raul. Good music week.
