Fleshgod Apocalypse

A relatively new band formed in 2007 in Italy, FA brings a mixture of technical, heaviness, brutality, and melodic pieces the likes of which I have never heard. Similar in style to Brain Drill, except cleaner sounding parts, and a message that rivals that of Lamb of God or Aeon, their sound is unique. Every track of their Oracles is an undisputed masterpiece, and their diversity is far out stretched, even being so bold as to incorporate classical pieces directly into their songs. Yet their are able to maintain a sinister and demonic sound. Another thing that baffles me is the fact their from Italy. I believe I have never heard a metal band come from the depths of such a deeply Christian society, and yet their music is quite anti-religious. Simply put, the greatest band I have heard in a long while. Kick ass.

I love death metal, just not stuff that is too overly technical or complicated (ironically I love Origin).

I'm in love with them. The classical aspect of them just make them all the better.

i would disagree with the classical....albeit i only heard that one song with that cool piano intro....but the vast majority of music today could be argued that classical was an infulence in it....im just saying that maybe fleshgod apocalypse not so much hahaha

I dont frown upon it, in fact, i LOVE classical. unfortunately there is so much, idk where to start.

i just dont think you can say much of the death and more brutal styles of metal are influenced by classical...i would say that they are much more blues and jazz infused.
but out of all the metal bands i have listened to, Fleshgod are closest in sounding classical

I wasn't saying you, I was saying the world in general doesn't seem to like it.

But you're right, most metal is more influenced by blues and jazz.

Authentic musicians and music lovers adore classical.
But they are far out matched by those who don't *Hip hop/rap*.

You are welcome kind sir.

The arrangements are too complex, don't have "cool" titles, and actually convey emotions other than happy or sad.
