Well, here's some of the music I think may be suitable for the music week. Apologies if you have heard it or if you don't like it, just thought it would be worth a shot
Evergrey - In Search of Truth

Evergrey is a progressive metal band from Swedish. The album was based on some movie or book based on aliens. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoy this album. I thought it was a perfect blend of emotion, riffs, and other things. The first time I heard one of the songs, I got hooked on it, and it's still beautiful. Check it out:

Raven - Rock until you drop

Raven is one of the NWOBHM back in the 80s. Their stuff kind of remind me of the newer Overkill stuff: Lots of energy but it makes it sound very good. I learned about the album because Kreator covered one of the songs on the album. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but from what I've heard thus far it sounds good. Check it out:

Blind Guardian - Battalions of Fear

Yeah, no surprise here. Blind Guardian is an excellent power metal band, but this album is speed metal at it's finest. The riffs are fantastic, the solos are amazing, and it's just very well done. Choice cuts being the title track and run for the night. Majesty is also good.

Yeeeah. Sorry if you've already heard each album or don't like any

Cool man, I will download tomorrow. I have to go to bed in 4 minutes. Already have the Blind Guardian so I will snag the others. Props on the first club entry, as out of order as it is =D

Byd, this is how it starts, you know. One day it's "I like Blink 182", the next it's "I think I like men".

You already get a high score for Blind Guardian and Evergrey. Both fantastic artists, and fantastic albums to boot.

I will get the other soon and listen to it.

Everygrey sucks sooo bad. I'm not going anywhere near that one.

Already heard the other two, though, and they're indeed awesome.

Listened to Evergrey and was intrigued enough to download the album and thought it was brilliant. I shall be looking into this band some more.

Thought Raven were good but didn't download them.

Blind Guardian were really good. Downloaded their album too. Thought they sounded like a mix of early Metallica and early Maiden.

Evergrey only have two standout albums, "In Search of Truth" and their masterpiece, "Recreation Day":

The only BG albums worth a damn are "Somewhere far Beyond" and "Imaginations From the Other Side":

If you like BG, you should look into Persuader:

BG had A Twist in the Myth, and Somewhere Far Beyond
They were spectacular. mmm.
