Well, its been a while, but Looksee is back. A pre-emptitive strike before any bitching: a few of these are quite hard to find on the web, so they have Rapidshare links because that's all there is. I'm sure you'll manage this once. Enjoy!

De Lirium's Order
You'd be forgiven for thinking this band was from Sweden, with their crunchy Stockholm sound, but they actually hail from Finland. "Diagnosis" is meaty death/thrash with a semi-technical finish, with lyrics about serial killers. Nice Carcass cover featured on the album. Taxer, you'll love this.
MySpace
Download

Makrothumia
Progressive doomy death from former Negura Bunget helmsman, Edmond Karban. Features a few musical similarities to NB which means automatic awesome. Atmosphere and impressive song writing abounds. No decent youtube or MySpace unfortunately: just trust me and get this bad boy:
Download

Azure Emote
Just plain weird death metal, with industrial elements, but nonetheless awesome. Hard to put into words: listen and download.
YouTube
Download

Fool's Game
Solid power/heavy metal with just a slight progressive touch. They have a really chunky, awesome guitar tone (They have the same guitarist as Pharoah). Matt Crooks is an awesome vocalist.
YouTube
Download

Deathevokation
Just plain awesome death metal. Really crunchy and OSDM-ish but with great melodies as well.
YouTube
Download

Alkemyst
If Dream Theater and Symphony X have a love child, it may just turn out like this. Awesome stuff for prog fans. The french know what they're doing when it comes to metal.
YouTube
Download

The Living Fields
I'm not even going to try to describe the sound of this band. Listen to the crazy and download:
MySpace
Download

Madder Mortem
Progressive dark metal. Brilliant vocals from Agnete Kirkevaag, and some really nice jazz touches.
YouTube
Download

Deathevokation's links are both youtube Razz

luckily they're the only band I've heard on here. What death metal should've been.

finally. i have them all, they are unzipped and unrar-ed and tagged. now....i need to start listening.

Madder Mortem - pretty cool. love me some females in my metal. i have high hopes

The Living Fields - the screams sounds very similar to In This Moment's female screams. thats not bad, nor is it meant to demean. thats what i hear. seems solid. feels fairly upbeat. not to heavy on the death, or black. decent.

Man Deathevokation sounds great, I would describe it as just plain awesome death metal. Really crunchy and OSDM-ish but with great melodies as well.

Deathevokation are pretty cool, but you guys are making it sound like OSDM crunchiness and great melodies are mutually exclusive

There's probably thousands of files for it on the internet. I'd reccomend redownloading it from a blogspot.

alkemyst and madder mortem are def up my alley. i will look more into them. madder mortem shares some similarites with diablo swing orchestra i think (one of favorite bands) so this proves to be awesome for me.
