For those of you who play Guitar or Bass, what kind of amp do you have and how would you rate it? I am currently looking to upgrade from my basic Crate amp that has started to cracle and it sounds really annoying and messed up.

Guitar, I have a Transamp
Its alright. For $330 It could be better. It has all the basic settings and they work well. Only thing that pisses me off is that everything I use reverb it picks up a radio station on the amp. What. The. ****. Everyone else about it is great though. 4/5

I use a Line 6 120 Watt Spyder III

it's pretty damn good if you don't intend to play shows, although im sure you could play small gigs with that thing. It has built in Wah, Phaser, Tremolo, Reverb, and Chorus Flanger

I'm using a first act from wal-mart ^_^ man I'm a lame ass oh well lol.

Also I can imagine an amp being able to pick up a radio station. I mean speakers and even a cassette tape pick up static from text messages and sometimes phone calls. Sound systems if unprotected can pick up radio's as well. So it probably has something to do with the kind of receivers on or something.

The amps don't matter at all really, unless it's a combo

If you get a stack it's the head that makes the sound, All the cabinets are pretty much the same, give or take some life because of quality
