Understand everything in the world. Your life, history, future, afterlife? Would you want to know it? I would not as I think I would go crazy and try to get people to believe me

wat

Knowing everything would be awesome, though it would take a whole lot of excitement out of like and would mean that there are predetermined paths for everything.

I probably would. My knowledge and the future would reach a harmony (some pitfalls here but they could easily be worked out with a little more arbitration) and from then on it would be just watching things play out and experiencing them. It would definitely be different but knowing what goes on isn't the only thing there is in life. I would mainly hesitate because once I accept the deal there is no turning back. Also it would seem to me to be like a step backwards for personal reasons. I'd think about it but my initial reaction is that I would do it. I could make use of it.

You would kinda feel like you have no control of what will ever happen

That wouldn't bother me much. I don't feel like I'm in control much, but I do like the uncertainty of the future. It makes the present more interesting.

I don't think there would be any point to living if you had all the answers. The mystery of life is what makes it exciting for me.

So no, I wouldn't.

Well, I'd like to know all of this except for the day I die (very depressing) or afterlife (could be disapointing). As for the future, I'd try to prevent at least one bad thing that will happen.

Say, in the future a girl will dump you in a shitty fashion after dating for 3 years. Would you still prevent that experience?

I would. Despite the Greek "Pandora" myth's theme that foresight will destroy hope. Everyone realizes that life is a mixture of fortune and tragedy. Not every endevour will succeed and not every one will fail.

Knowing the future wouldn't be so bad as the Greeks thought. The Greeks believed that knowing the future would doom you to misery. Their grounds was that if you knew all the terrible things that would happen, you'd feel overwhelmed by the tragedy that you're bound to experience.

I think that not knowing the future is worse. The Greeks said that not knowing the outcome creates hope. I argue that if the endevour fails, your hope was a lie that casts you down further than it brought you up.

If you could have seen the future and known the outcome of the event, you'd be able to sort out the woulb-be hope from the would-be false hope. You'd know exactly how much misery you'll experience and in contrast, how much happiness. You would be able to decide whether that happiness is worth braving the tragedy.

Hope inspires you to live to see the unknown outcome of your endevours. It's a blindfold. As easily as you could walk into an ice-cream store, you could walk off a waterfall. Hope inspires us to live for the sake of living. Which I don't want to do.

This could create some problems. If something were to happen and you knew it but, prevented it. Would you see different outcomes to each of your ideas if you started to go through with them?

I kind of agree with the Greeks that knowing would suck, because life would be really boring. I like to some suprise in my life.
