I'm trying to record some spacey metal but my microphone is awful. So it kinda fits with the black metal scheme but its a complete pain to edit. Anyone have the experience?

Garage band is reasonably fail in my opinion the little bit I've messed with it, since I have pro tools I really haven't seen a need to >_> but it can be used effectively just like everything else the Killers record like 90% of their stuff with it so go figure.

garageband is really bad. lag is terrible apparently. i dont have a mac so i dont really know. but audacity works fine for me. download that, there is ways to set the lag normal and stuff IF it occurs and its loaded with effects and whatnot. terrible for mixing but its free. i use it succesfully to record my techno and my little metal projects.

Audacity is better than garage band, which is sad. Although garage band is fun to play around with when you are using the fake instrument things.

Garage band is really made to make loops with it's not really a program for recording imo.

My mic is so garbage. It would rather kill itself then let me mix recordings with loops
