If you're into outdoorsy stuff, Between a Rock and a Hard Place is really good. It's that dude who was hiking and had a boulder fall on his arm, and cut it off with a tiny ass knife. You probably heard about it.

Good.... books? That's like asking for good foreign vehicles... or a black white person. It just doesn't work.

Anyway, The Night Angel trilogy is okay. Not good though. No such thing as a good book.

No good books?! That = no good literature. That also says that over the time span that humans have spent on this planet, we have never written anything decent since we learned to write our experiences and creative stories on vellum and then paper. I am sorry but I equate a statement like that to compare to saying there is no good music, art, theatre, sports, etc. Without a definitive time span or opinion about a genre, era or an author, I just cannot take it seriously. Now, if you had said there has not been any good books written in the genre of horror since 1995, that is something that could be argued and defended.

Darkflame, since everyone’s definition of “good” or “no good” is extremely vast, you would need to give a genre at least to help suggestions or else they will range from George Orwell, to John Milton, to the person who wrote Captain Underpants. A genre would help define whether you like novels or non-fiction, and then choose from there on. To me, Poe is an amazing poet, Adams is the funniest writer, Gabriel Garcia Marquez is a master of vivid stories and beautiful writing, and Tolkien was extremely creative.

I felt like I was trying to read Japanese and then remembered I do not comprehend video game jargon.
No offense to Pokemon, it was a good show. Good, wholesome, with men who have huge boobs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpPusmEMvXA&feature=player_embedded

I heard it was the #13 best seller this week or something

Should have named it "Meet the Real Me" or "Memoirs Sell, But Who's Buying?" or something along those lines

I can't stand reading interviews with Mustaine. I might kill myself if I tried to read his book.

I like science, math, and skeptic kind of books myself. I read /Innumeracy/ a bit ago and it was good. It talks about misconceptions about numbers and probabilities and some of the consequences of such misconceptions. For example it talks about the gambler's fallacy...the idea that each successive miss increases the chances of the next trial being a hit. And lots of other things...like it mentions some interesting things about polls. Like on a poll with options a, b, and c, it is possible for people as a whole to prefer a to b, b to c, and c to a.

Good stuff!
