Looking for an acoustic guitar but it seems you can only find ones that are $100 or $1000 and nothing in between. Do you guys know of any good acoustic that would sell for under $400 used? Looking for something with a bright sound and whatnot.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/navigation?N=100001+10&Ntk=All&Ntt=breedlove&Nty=1

there about 400-500 priced. breedlove, from what ive experienced has good clarity and brightness. i dont know what model i used though. it was in some studio- good have been higher end, but i read some reviews on that link and people still said the clarity and brightness is still there

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/navigation/martin-guitars-strings-parts-guitars?N=100001+201016+304262+10

martin guitars, same price range. their a popular acoustic brand so why not post them. my friend has an expensive one (some lady at his church for no reason except for the fact that he played guitar gave him a 1000 dollars to buy a guitar) so he bought a 1000 dollar martin. lol jealous

another company ive had "bright" experience with is guild. ive played a couple guilds and they were either bad or really good. the good one i played was in that studio again. AMAZING sound. my friends have guilds also though and i hate them. but my friends guitars where all beat up and not taken care of and had strings on that were probably there since the 70's so that probably was why i hated them. try them out.

yamaha makes good cheap guitars but i dont think they have the "bright" sound you want. my friend has one. plays nice but doesnt really have that crystal clear sound your probably looking for. strings were new i think too. idk good luck

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-Exotic-Wood-Series-EW20SGE-AcousticElectric-Guitar?sku=520145 - an ibanez i was looking at buying, it just looks badass. doesnt sound bad. ive heard it in a band i used to be friends with. it also just looks badass as does this one- http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-EW20ZWE-EXOTIC-WOOD-SERIES-Zebrawood-AcousticElectric-Guitar-?sku=512323

ibanez's exotic wood guitars looks so badass... i wants one. and heck they;re pretty darn cheap

I play an Ovation, it's pretty solid and you can get a non-custom model in your price range. You get a really open sound, very bright and rich.

Ovation is always solid, and Breedlove. Martins are okay, but you gotta go big with them.

Ovation are good but I dislike the ones with ridiculous plastic backs. I know they are easier to curve giving a richer more resonate sound, but they look ridiculous

Byd, this is how it starts, you know. One day it's "I like Blink 182", the next it's "I think I like men".

Stores are good for actually playing stuff, but you will almost never find anything cheaper there as opposed to online.

Martin's are my favorite. Also, Gibson acoustics have a great sound as well.

There are some very affordable models though that are basically the same quality. I'd rather just get an epiphone though.
