Very good. Blatantly obvious it is a grower, and very dark for an Agalloch album as it has been said...I will find myself listening to this fairly often eventually.

Harsh vocals sound better than ever (for Agalloch, they were never the strongest link though)
I really like his harsh vocals tbh.

I'm an absolute elitist when it comes to good harsh vocals. He's okay and it fits within the context of the music, but they're not spectacular in my honest opinion.

the only remarkably good harsh vocalists I've heard in recent memory are John Haughm and Nathan Ellis

I tolerate a lot of harsh vocals in music and while it can admittedly enhance the overall atmosphere of the track depending on technique it's far too often an imitated art

few do it as well as him

Atmospherically, his vocals are perfect. So ghostly. He never screams, it's almost like a whisper, which fits perfectly.

In terms of gret harsh vocalists, trilithonian (fuck, you need a nickname), Helge Stang is just amazing.

Again, I have no idea who that is.

Just listened to the album and it's pretty damn good. A few more listens and I'll be loving this.

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (born August 13, 1926) is a Cuban politician. One of the primary leaders of the Cuban Revolution, Castro served as the Prime Minister of Cuba from February 1959 to December 1976, and then as the President of the Council of State of Cuba and the President of Council of Ministers of Cuba until his resignation from the office in February 2008. He currently serves as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, a position he has held since 1965.

Wikipedia to the rescue.

guy's much more than a politician, he is a revolutionary that shifted the ideology of socialism and counter-aggression against the American state for good

read about the Cuban Missile Crisis and the JFK/LBJ years

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised or at least informed in that realm of American history as it was a very pivotal step in thought assault

I know about the Cuban Missile Crisis. I did something about it at school. I must've just forgotten his name. Razz
