Kind of a cool album art for the second one. Not sure what I'm looking at. Looks interesting.

God DAMN it.

Isole could be so much more than what they are. They pull off some very amazing vocal work (The Watcher, Moonstone especially) and their more dirge-like guitar leads at intervals in the album unfurl into a very tasteful and powerful doom metal production until it starts doing that Candlemass bullshit! I'm sick of monotonous, Sunn O))) amps and needless amounts of dissonance.

Some of the guitar work on Forevermore was reminiscent of a Saturnus album (and I'll have everybody here know I love Saturnus to the death) and I wanted so much for this to be that, but I was disappointed by poor rhythmic composition. I hate to say it like this but perhaps my tastes are far too "artsy" to appreciate this sort of doom metal. I'm aware of the titans in the genre, it's just that I can't possibly find it appealing.

I'll review Bongzilla in a while...

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
Bongzilla is good music, but I don't like it, but I can acknowledge it as a solid band.

Isole- Good stuff man, doom metal has always had a place in my collection, glad to add another

Bongzilla were pretty good. The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the vocals. The seemed a little...over-forced at times. Aside from that they were pretty damn good.

Isole were really good at first, but by the end of the second song...it got really, really repetitive and boring. By the time I got near the end of the album, it all just seemed to mesh into one big boring dirge. Not for me.

bongzilla- not my thing, though i enjoyed the humor

i liked isole more cuz i like chill metal, though its still not completely up my ally. it gets repitive to me for some reason (which is weird cuz i like repetitive things) so idk

production i thought was pretty fitting for both bands. dirty for bongzilla, eerily dark for isole. i was surprised vocally for isole as well. was not expecting that. i was also not expecting the vocals for bongzilla- but that was more in a negative way lol.
