I'm a huge fan of indie music in general, but for awhile I've been really into the more folky and acoustic stuff. Usually stuff that has a throwback to some of the older country and southern rock/americana groups, and a very little bit of straight up country and bluegrass. This is actually the type of music I make with a buddy of mine. We do a lot of Eagles covers, and some of my own original material. When I get some better recordings of my music i'll share it, but in the meantime are you guys into any music like this? Here are some of my favorites

Fleet Foxes

The Shins

Widower

Allison Krauss and Union Station

Rocky Votolato

The Cave Singers

Nickel Creek

Punch Brothers

The Civil Wars

Bon Iver

Father John Misty

The Head and the Heart

Lord Huron

Robin Pecknold

Lucy Rose

Nick Drake

Kings of Convenience

Night Beds

Simon & Garfunkel

Oh, and I'll just leave this here as a bonus

Nick Drake. Can't even utter the man's name without death entering your head, a bit sad but all too appropriate given his work. Irony, you callous beast

Lord Huron is pretty stuff, and anybody that hasn't heard Simon and Garfunkel probably should do themselves a favor and check 'em out if they're interested in this vein of music

To be relevant:

Swans: Love Will Save You

Try to ignore the shitty lyric sheet and photo fades, it's a pretty terrible video but the song (and by way of it the rest of the album) is very great, sarcastic and witty. Reminiscent of Americana but with its own identity

Byd, check out specifically Fleet Foxes, Rocky Votolato, The Head and the Heart and Lord Huron. I find a lot of similarities with the groups you posted.

Plants and Animals is rock solid, but I've never listened to Hey Rosetta before. I think I may have heard of them, it rings a bell, but never listened. Great stuff. Some bits of the music remind me of the Shins, mixed with some more normal americana sounding stuff like Mat Kearney. I really enjoyed it.

Also, byd

I am a fan of The Head and the Heart and I promise to listen to those if you recommend albums lol.

As for the video I was not expecting such an awesome outro, that was so called for
